Under seat storage lighting?

Has anyone been able to add LED strips to the rear under seat storage? If so is there an easy way to tap into 12V there?

Why would you need that? The compartment is rather small, you have to open the doors to get at it so the dome light is on and there are windows on 3 sides to give natural light during the day.

Or is this another one of those "modifications" that stingy me just doesn't understand? Cause there are quite a few of them!

I have found that dome lights are not the best and my eyesight isn’t the greatest at night, so added light helps me a lot. Especially if I’m looking for small stuff like a utility knife or small screwdriver etc.
