Under hood lighting

First of all if your reply is “Why?” then please move along . This is for those who wrench on their trucks. It may even come in handy if you break down on the side of the road at night.

$20 bucks on Amazon, maybe 15-20 minutes to install. Two wires. Cheap, Quick, and Easy.

Before, no lights.

Attach a strip on each side. I ran the passenger wire through the holes and wire loomed them down and to the driver side by the fuse box.

red wire to battery, black to the push switch. Used an existing hole and tightened the nuts.

Not a single problem. Just make sure you align the push button correctly so the hood pushes it down enough to ground or you’ll wake up with a dead battery

Much of what you find offered on eBay is purchased by an individual from Temu or Ali Express. They then offer it on eBay at a profit. I purchased the same underhood lighting kit from Temu and paid right around $10 for the double strand version. Either way, off of eBay or Temu, your item is being produced in China. The only difference is the price you will be paying and a faster delivery to your home when getting it from eBay.

Does the center of the hood get lit up well even though the strips are on the sides ? Thanks.

Yea I already have the COBB strips (I use them often) so I was just going to wire it myself and grab the hood mechanism elsewhere for like $2 lol.

Same with Amazon. Paying for convenience. Hey... at least I only pay $6.99 for Prime compared to whatever they want now... gotta be like $14 by now.
