I’ve had the BAK Flip MX4 for a year and a half and it has been great. It folds up against the back window and allows full use of the bed. I installed a seal kit for the tail gate and I get a few ounces of water in the bed, just a few drips in the corners that hasn’t hurt anything I’ve hauled. My son and I installed one on his Jeep Gladiator in less than 30 minutes, he loves his too. I got mine when they were having a special on it for $995.
Great product!

I'm trying to decide between the Rough Country hard tri fold bed cover and the Real Truck BAK Flip MX 4. I visited a truck shop and the Real Truck Undercover Ultra Flex fold up was recommended. The Rough Country one is much cheaper. The other two the same. Has anyone had experience with the Undercover Ultra Flex Fold up? Is it worth a few hundred more? Also, the truck shop wants too much money to install if I get it there. $150 for the Rough Country, and $250 for the Undercover. Everyone in the MTC has said it takes 30min to an hour to install. Should I get one or the other and pay this much for installation? Or just order it and someone I sort of know says they can install it. What do you suggest I pay him for doing it? He volunteered.
Thanks!
If you were near me I could install in about 30 minutes. It is really simple to do since the bed is so short. But that much for install ? Nope tell them you'll buy it but install is free. It is a buyers market.

I have some generic trifold off Ebay that's been great, I think it was around 200-250. Installation of these is EASY, no need to get a shop to do it at 200+ an hour. You can do it yourself in less than one beer (one hour) with tools you already have. And usually these come with any "specialty" tools like a specific size allen wrench.

Thank you! I love this site. Someone had offered to install it for me but changed his mind. I ordered one from Rough Country, and hope to get it tomorrow. I'll view the video and see what I can do.
