OK, getting a bit ahead of myself here, but just for an interesting conversation, what do you think the average ADM will be for any unclaimed Tremor retail orders that end up on dealer lots nationwide?

Given the fact that Ford says only 8% of all Mavericks built will be Tremors, and given the fact that $10K markups are common on the 2022s currently available, my guess is that $10K will be the MINIMUM ADM most dealers will want to put the keys to a Tremor in the hands of someone who's just "gotta have it!"

Your thoughts?

Keep ‘em, as long as buyers give into this it’s never going change.

I would be surprised to see any. Given the order volume, the Tremors may all be spoken for. The only ones on the lots will be for retail orders that fall through at delivery.

Agreed. I assume we'll see very few if any. Maybe a month or so after they start being delivered we'll see some private sales and possibly one or two on used lots. Which, to answer the OP's question, will undoubtedly be marked up a minimum of 7500-10k. In fact, being an "exclusive" Tremor package, I wouldn't expect to see under 10k.

Yes, I agree. That's the premise of my post. The number of Tremors that make it to dealer lots will be EXTREMELY limited. Given that, how much markup will there be? What will it cost a person with more money than brains to obtain one?

It depends on the dealer. There are many that don't mark up as a matter of general policy. So, the Tremor would be at sticker (or less if used). Ford has talked about punishing dealers who have marked up. If I'm Ford, I fulfill Tremor orders at the more reputable dealers first before I send any to those more unsavory ones. Increases the likelihood that those getting a Tremor actually want a Tremor.

I think there will a few at dealership in about a year, plus ones dealerships buy from customers when they talk em into a Ranger with mud tires and rims. Then they will sell used Tremors with under 5000 miles on em for about $45-50k. I saw a XL with options on island here with 1100 miles or so for over $40,000.

Dealers get a certain amount allocated for them to sell directly besides the customer orders. It would depend what they spec those builds as. It is possible you may see a few go that route and depending the dealer at MSRP. Best bet is to hunt online directly through Ford dealer's websites and try to find one that way if anyone missed out and be willing to travel hundreds if not more miles to get one if necessary.

In SoCal Lariats with FX4 have a $9500 ADM so I’d guess the Tremor will get at least a $15-20k. And then when you think about grabbing a Ranger with FX4 and the 5% ADM on the 2023 you realize it’s still more affordable for the Mav with slightly better mileage in the EB. Once the 2024 Ranger drops forget about it.

I’m sure that’s the model that every dealer had their family/friends make. Likely, first day “retail” order for the dealership, since stock orders are just going to be production filler. Tremor Lariats with nice 10K ADM’s!

I guess it depends on when dealers actually get some of these on their lots. There are many who are predicting a sharp downturn in auto demand due to continued economic forces and supply is expected to catch up with existing demand, meaning dealer's price leverage will fall. The hybrids and EVs may fare a little better but I do not expect the auto market to stay like it is with used cars increasing in value and new cars selling over MSRP.
