Another dozen or 2 miles, paying with the trans in manual and Sport. 1-4 are very low far as gearing 5-8 more useful on the road, it will not shift to 8th unless above 60 MPH. Thing seem a very good freeway cruiser!

it will not shift to 8th unless above 60 MPH.

My 2026 will not go in 8th until I hit 66 mph.
Goes back into 7th when I drop below 65 mph.
I like my Manual mode and paddle shifters.

As soon as it’s broke in I’m gonna try for higher mpg’s by manually shifting.
Most of my driving is around 50-60 mph.

I'm getting used to the transmission and how low the first 4 gears are. I use manual/paddle shifting for break in, easy to set the cruise control and vary gearing and RPM. It has the start stop on off button but I have yet to notice start stop actually working even in drive with auto shifting and normal mode. That is fine by me. The tangerine does ride well on the freeway with lots of suspension travel and smooth damping. Really looking forward to a long road trip after break in!

Just picked up my 2026 Tremor yesterday, traded my 2025 Maverick Lariat. Ride is so much better in the Tremor. I feel they ruined the ride of Lariat by putting the 19" wheels and a lower profile tire. They gave me on trade almost what I paid for on the Lariat and 3000 off MSRP. Couldn't pass it up.

Same thoughts from me but I have no prior Maverick experience. The ride on the freeways impressed me. And the tires are still at 38 PSI. Some adjusting for contact and ride/handling may well improve that even more.
