Can anyone tell me why the "Trailer Sway Control" option is always "on" by default? My base XL does not have a tow kit. Thanks.

Answers here seem to be all over the place.No, it does not adjust any suspension components. The system only uses the brakes to stop the swaying. It judges when trailer swaying is occurring by reading the speed of each rear wheel, which then triggers the brakes.
