I had this same question. These auto settings always slightly irritate me, like the engine shut off feature at traffic lights.

According to thread contributor, Matmondro: It's just a factory setting to revert to "on" everytime for safety reasons. It really does work and should be left on.

But how does it physically work? Does this setting do something to the rear axle or suspension or sway bar?

Can anyone tell me why the "Trailer Sway Control" option is always "on" by default? My base XL does not have a tow kit. Thanks.

Oh, nothing special. The dark grey metallic XL, you know, with the generic steel rims. The lowest model on the lot. I WILL say, however, the $699 spray in bedliner installed by the dealership is kinda spectacular. A LOT better than the factory spray in bedliner.

I'm sincerely fed up. I'd rather visit the dentist than a car dealership.

Well, my salesman wouldn't even upgrade my floor mats to the laser measured ones!

I trust NO marketing people. I change oil at 5K. I asked my salesman which oil came factory installed. He answered "Synthetic blend." I asked: "When can I start using full synthetic?" He answered: "After 10,000 miles." Anything to this reasoning?

I know this sounds stupid (and I've been driving since 1977), but shall I wait for the high idle to normalize before placing it in drive as some precautionary measure with this new technology?

Catalytic Converter? CATS?

Just happened to me two days ago. Some guy hit me so hard from behind it flipped my Mav completely over on it's roof and into the oncoming lane of traffic.
