On a 4-flat connector, there is no dedicated "brake" circuit, since it uses the same wiring as the right & left turn signals use. Maybe explain further exactly what is happening, and if the truck turn/stop lights are functioning correctly.

All lights on truck work fine . The 4 flat connector right and left turn signal work but brake light does not thought maybe there was a fuse in either the fuse box under the hood or by passenger floor board.The book does not give a good fuse discription.

So the right and left turn signals on the trailer work, but when you press the brake pedal, they don't light up?

If so, you have a weak ground on the trailer, not good enough to handle the load of both trailer brake lights at once.
