Anybody know if your railcar number is established at the plant or after hits the states. Asked my salesman this morning for the railcar number or a screenshot of the vehicle visibility report. He said the is truck sitting in St Louis and no railcar number yet. Ultimately this is coming to Florida. Is St Louis the first stop along the way and there the railcars are sent in the required directions? Railcar number established at that point? Shipped 9/8 from factory. My Maverick just shipped Friday. I asked Ford Chat for my rail car # today. When I called CSX today it said my truck was in Tucson Saturday. Mine is ultimately coming to Florida as well. You have a rail car # as soon as it leaves the factory. I believe that # shouldn't change until it reaches the end of the line and switches to transport truck.

thanks. I see Tucson is straight north of the factory and makes sense that might be where it goes first. My Maverick is going to Florida as I ordered it there at Mullinax in West Palm but have since moved to Colorado. When they get the truck they will ship it to my house. I'll try Ford Chat for a railcar #. regards

Railcar number is assigned at the plant.

On VinView the lower section shows "Status History" and does list the Railcar number.

The salesman should look there and may have to click on "Show Full Table" to see the Railcar entry as that entry is the first "In Transit" one.

On mine it was these entries: Produced, Released, Shipped Rail with Railcar BNSF300313 shown.
