Recently purchased an 18ft. 2006 Four Winns Horizon. Boat is around 2,300lbs dry and the trailer around 700lbs for a little over 3,000lbs combined with fuel and gear.
While hooked up and towing the truck performed flawlessly. The only difference I noticed was when I also had my wife and kids in the truck as well I felt like the truck squatted a little more.
All in all it still performed and never struggled. I was a little nervous pulling over 3,000lbs out a a wet boat launch but it never slipped or hesitated at all. i was very impressed. Next week i'll be towing it a little further and on the highway and will see how it does on a longer trip.
