some very good replies. the solution to the high positive offset wheel issue (which I agree with) is simple: spacers. if you have a 20x8 ET30 wheel and you want the full skateboard effect, you go with 2" spacers. if you just want a little poke, 1" or 20mm, something like that.

23Lariat nailed it, the 265/50-20 has a ton of tires from 'sport truck' all season to all-terrain, even some with 3pmsf rating if this has to be driven somewhere with real winter weather.

You said you want to run 20x12 wheels. There are ultra wide tires that are spec’d for 20x12’s, but they are also low profile, like the 325/30R20, but that is only 29” diameter.
once you drop back into 31” SUV sized tires, like a 305/50R20, those are spec’d for 20x11” wheels because they start to look stretched.

if I was in your situation, I would buy quantity 1 of the cheapest 20x12 or maybe 20x11 wheel I could find, then mount the cheapest tire I could find on it and use that to test fit your rig, before dropping serious coin, only to find that you can’t make it work.

This doesn’t look bad. I definitely won’t fit what I wanted so inside I’ll go 29s on 20x10 with the 2in lift and adapters, and I have a buddy with a fabrication business and can cut/trim so I don’t rub.

I believe if I add the 2inch lift kit with 31in tires on 20x12 rims with an adapter/spacer to change the lug pattern it will work.
