Had a truck newb question. Do tonneau covers help gas mileage at all? Hurt it? I guess it adds a bit of weight to the vehicle but seems like it would add a bit to the aerodynamics. Not trying to get greedy with the already great mileage of the hybrid but, would be nice to squeeze all that I can out of it!

This actually is a controversial topic in general. Some say yes, some say no. Over a lot of highway miles in different 6.5 ft bed F150's and an 8 ft bed F250 I've seen a small increase using a soft rollup tonneau (light weight). Of course the normal mpg's on these trucks were nowhere near the hybrid. My guess is due to short bed length in Maverick (and not exactly super-aerodynamic look of the truck in general) that it'll have a negligible effect on highway mpg on either the hybrid or 2.0l EB versions.

I just did a full tank without my F150’s tonneau cover on just to see if there was any difference in fuel economy.

nope.
