So far, it doesn't flap. I adjust the tensioner about 1/4 of a turn every couple of months.

Thank you for your input and the photo's as the Gator Company didn't show it on a Maverick.No complaints with my Gator FX3 hard tri fold cover. Bought a year ago for $720 at Realtruck, may be slightly more now.
