I did some research and I think I found what you're looking for or damn close.
A tonneau cover that raises into a topper.
I do not know if they make it for the Maverick or how much it cost.

I had no real interest in the top. Therefore I did not seriously look into it any further.
Yep, you are right. I just called RaZorTop to see if they were eventually going to have a top for the Maverick. The Representative explained, unfortunately because the Maverick is a unibody and be the bed is connected to the cab. There is no space for them to mount the forward portion of the top support structure.
They have had a lot of interest in one for the Maverick.
I guess this would have to go down as one of the "CON's of owning a unibody truck.

But will it raise up? When you need more room, but still want to protect the stuff that's underneath.
