Has anyone used the Blue Ox charge line kit for a 26 Mav hybrid is it enough charge to keep the battery charged after 6 hour tow ?? Tks

I have flat towed my 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid behind my Class A Motorhome almost 9,000 miles so far using the RoadMaster Base Plate - tow bar and charge line some trips have exceed 6 hours in the same day and I have had no issues with keeping the battery fully charged I would think you will get the same results using the BlueOx

Tks for info Question:if I stop at 6 hrs and want to continue do I just come out of neutral tow mode start engine for 3 to 5 minutes for oiling purposes then back into tow mode and continue or when coming out of neutral tow mode I have to shut down for 15 minutes then lube and continue

I ran my own wire from the plug on the toad to the battery terminal under the hood. Works great. I WOULD NEVER RUN WITHOUT A CHARGE LINE. Regardless of how long, how far and the purpose. I also monitor the voltage going to the brake controller in the Maverick with a display up front. That's another post.

If you buy a charging "kit" you are buying a piece of wire.

Good question - I have left it connected to the RV but disengaged tow mode let it sit for the 15 minutes ran for a few minutes then returned to tow mode before continuing but in reality it actually set more than the 15 minutes before continuing so no issues

All the previous posts are pertinent, all relative to your question. Charge line from MH to Toad is a Must, to keep your 12v battery topped up to ensure it stays in tow mode, and power your supplemental braking system if necessary. After 6 hours towing I exit Tow mode, let sit 5 min, start for a few minutes, then return to Tow mode.
