I’m in the same situation with my 25 Hybrid, currently leaning towards the blue ox base plate, originally was looking towards the RVI Shadow brake now looking at the stay n play duo which appears the pressure can be better adjusted.
From experience, I can tell you that the Demco brand base plate is the cleanest, easiest installation of them all, and also incredibly stable and sway-free when flat towing.

If anyone needs the Deco base plate for a 20–24 Maverick I’ve got one that I used once (from Atlanta to Orlando and back) before I traded my 2024 for a new 2025 Maverick.

Complete Demco baseplate kit ($400 firm). I’m in the Atlanta metro area.

I have to agree. The Demco baseplate is a bolt on option on the Mac Hybrid. The hardest part is getting front cap off!

I documented my conversion if anybody wants to see it ... I unfortunately and being treated for lymphoma so I did not try to tackle this myself. But I did have my RV tech put it on for me. He charged $400 - which was about $100 an hour.

The demco model mattress perfectly to the mounting holes provided by Ford. The Ford Maverick Hybrid should be first choice for RV'ers as a dingy tow. I think it's the best four down towing vehicle out there!

I agree the Maverick is a great toad I just returned from a 2000 mile trip flat towing mine - no issues 👍
