Your truck is $40,000.00. Not cheap. I have a Tremor XLT which stickered at $36,500.00.
I just wanted a Maverick to use for competitions that I do. Did not order. Person who ordered decided not to take.
I like the truck and I did not mind paying what I did. However, I realize from being on this forum that most buyers buy the hybrid due to cost and mpg. That is the target market and those buyers have the right idea. if that what was offered to me, I would have bought that for what I am using the truck for. When you start getting into 36-40K range and 24 mpg you might have to ask are you better off getting a Ranger or Colorado for the utility they offer.

I still dont get the move up argument with the Maverick. I dont want alot of options on my vehicles but by the time I add the ones I need. The mid sized offerings are all atleast $5000 more than the Maverick. The best I could price a Ranger is almost $10k more than I paid.

I remember, we talked a long time ago. I have (on order) a Tremor XLT, but man the black lariet Tremor seats are nice, plus you get the leather steering wheel. In this market 38k is a pretty damn good deal. I'm seeing xlt Tremors on the 40's. If you like the color and look, I say go for it.
Some XLT Tremors come with the leather(pleather) steering wheel. At least my Tremor did.:giggle:

Also a big perk for me is that fits in my garage, hate leaving cars out in the weather. Plus it "currently" has a certain coolness to it, I know, a fleeting benefit.

True that.^ To be nice, they're talking out their exhaust pipe.

A special version of something you can afford is better than a mediocre version of something you can barely afford, within the bounds of functionality of course.

I believe it was included in the Lux Package. I guess that steering wheel was included as a part of the Lariat package. Being that your hand are on the wheel all the time makes it worth it.

I'm another pass on the whole moving up argument. My Tremor has most everything I'm looking for in a vehicle. It's quick, quite nimble for its size, compact, offers a comfortable ride, capable of tackling pretty much all road/terrain/weather types I personally see, lets me haul what I need to haul, and it's absolutely beautiful in my opinion. In fact I think it's one of the most attractive trucks to be produced in recent history. Folk stop and stare and comment at mine constantly.

I don't personally *want* a comparably equipped Colorado, Ranger, etc. They're bigger than I want/need, more cumbersome to maneuver, not as (personally) fun for spirited driving, more money than I want to pay for a vehicle, and they don't wow me with how they look either (though the new Rangers coming out are definitely more on-par now).

Really my only complaint about the Tremor is the dash/door panel cheapness and that doesn't even bother me much. Mileage in the Tremor, I find, is what you make it. If you lead foot it, yeah, mileage will be fairly mediocre. Folk who are easy on the gas can get mid-to-high 20s. For this powertrain, the added weight the Tremor package packs on, and the lift, the mileage is perfectly acceptable as far as I'm concerned.
