I can't find the specific thread, but didn't I read, here on the forums that there was a limitation as to what size tire you could accurately calibrate using forscan?

truck will be coming with stock 225/65R17 & I'd like to go to a 245/65R17 if that is a possibility (still looking around at forscan, but I've got a post up about that already..we'll have to wait and see

hopefully, too, the 245/65r17 will still fit in the regular spare location without issues

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but there should be no need to change anything with Forscan if you are just going to use wider tires. If you would be changing the height of the tire is where Forscan programming would be needed to make sure the speedometer reads correctly.

The difference between the two tires 225- 245 is 1" in height. At 60 MPH you would really be doin 62.15. I would not bother to change anything with forscan unless you know what you are doing.

I have 245/65-17 BF Goodrich KO2s and it is a very minor difference. According to Waze at an 45mph indicated, I'm doing 46mph and at 80mph indicated, I'm actually doing 83mph.

The limitations are not a forscan issue. They are sizes available to be considered based on gears installed placed in the vehicle module when it was built. The computer used by the Ford technician has the same choices.
