Thank you for some very interesting, and useful, food for thought! I shared your reply with my wife, and she's more open to going with the EB now LOL. Your reply is exactly the sort of reply I was hoping for when I applied to join this forum, getting answers to questions I'm not even aware I should be asking, yet 🤣🤣🤣. I think my wife will enjoy hers when we get it, as she volunteers to drive the one we have now, and the last time she did that was when she had her Focus back in 2002 🤣.
@Hunters Edge should have mentioned that the battery issues have been greatly minimized with Ford swapping out the OEM wet cell battery with a much more efficient AGM battery. As far as power and acceleration goes, the hybrid is up to the task. With its electronic transmission it accelerates like a slot car. I've not any concerns about getting on a highway and if fact leave most cars in my rear view mirror while their traditional transmissions try to keep up.
