2022 Nissan Frontier Pro4X…MSRP $41,460 sitting on lot right where I parked it Saturday afternoon.

I still have a June unscheduled hybrid order with MSRP of $25,000.

I could text my cousin now and pick the frontier up in a couple hours or continue the wait… what y’all thinking?

I'd say that's a $16,460 question that only you can answer.

I'd be shocked if it's really msrp. But anyway that's 16k up front and about half the mpg. Do you need the 4x4 and extra 6" of bed that much? Only you know

I passed on this Maverick Saturday. With a $5-6K difference in MSRP if these trucks were side by side…I believe Tom Cruise himself would pick the Nissan.

I agree. The total MSRP on my Maverick is $22,265. I know they're selling a lot of 30k Mavericks, but to me, it shines at 22-25k. It's a Civic/Corolla killer.

Tough call. The Frontier is a nice looking truck. I just worry about how much longer Nissan will be in business. You cannot really compare it to a Maverick, it stacks up against the Ranger. I do like that it has a NA V6 rather than a turbocharged engine.

I meant the other way lol. I haven't seen a pro 4x on a lot without a markup. Not small either usually. When it comes to the fully loaded awd mav you posted it's easier to compare than the hybrid. Def a waaay nicer interior and alot more features. So for someone looking for a nice dd at that price I could understand. The pro 4x is for offroading and serious truck stuff. The hybrid is so much cheaper it's not even close. But you have to accept the tradeoffs.

Reliability and resale value (immediate and future) probably most important to me at this very moment.

I think reliability will be equally good with either. Resale value probably a bit better with the frontier but it's so much more upfront and with the mpg probably a wash imo. I'd say you wait it out if the mav is still a good fit for your needs like when you ordered. But if you have the $$$ and want the pro4x dont let me hold you back lol

If that checks more boxes for you than the Maverick, go for it. I’ve heard good things about the new Frontier.

apples vs. oranges. Do you want a larger in every way MID-size or a compact truck? IMO, resale value should not even be part of the equation when deciding to buy a new vehicle these days. The global economy is all screwed up and who knows what will happen in a couple years for car buying/selling.

weigh the Pros & Cons for your specific situation/needs RIGHT NOW and that should make the decision easy for you. It was for me.
