The order for the origonal dealer is now scheduled for the week of April 29th, no update on the other order yet, so who knows if calling helped or not.

Damaged goods is damaged goods. The dealer should not be selling it after repair as a new vehicle. If that is the case it sounds like they do not have to disclose that it has been in an accident to the respective buyer. I would be very upset if they tried to pull a fast one on me, and would feel badly for the unsuspected purchaser. The games stealers play is unconscionable.

New Maverick is in at the original Dealership and I will be going in to pick it up on saturday, the one ordered at the other dealership isn't even set up with a vin yet, the crashed Mav has been repaired and is on the lot for sale.

he just kept repeating "we will make it perfect", so I think he wanted me to wait to see it fixed before talking about the sale, the damaged one is already listed on there site for sale listed as "in transit"
I would not deal with this dealer. First, this truck should have a damaged report with carfax, I'm sure the dealer will make sure it doesn't appear. Somehow later it might show up when you go to sell it, he is already trying to dump it on someone that it's in transit, a big lie. These are warning signs to avoid him at all costs!

So my Maverick arrived on Wednesday and I picked it up on Friday from the original dealership, the other (3rd) Maverick I ordered has not advanced at all, no vin, just the 45 day email.

Ford Maverick The dealership crashed my Maverick order. 20240518_194250

They discounted My Maverick because of what happened to the first one, after it all added up they sold it to me for $3030 less than the original trucks total on the purchase agreement.

But...

while inspecting the truck at the dealership I noticed dents on the roof of the my Maverick , so I checked the other Mavericks on the lot, one dent was on 3 of the 4 mavs, so that one dent is likely from manufacturing but there were 5/6 other dents on my Maverick, like the car transporter was using their elbows on the roof while hooking up the car above mine on the transport or something like that, they were shallow enough to be taken out with "PDR" and they agreed to fix it and give me a loaner to drive while it gets fixed so they set up the appointment for this Thursday...

and then...

On Saturday I picked up a new to me Honda Ruckus 80 miles from home base, (doing truck things) I made a mistake and didn't double check the the ratchet straps on the back of the Ruckus the dealer put on for me and one mile from home the ruckus tipped over in the bed and scratched the plastic trim on the top of the bed and put a tiny scratch on the tailgate where the bed liner is lacking, so I got the "first scratch" out of the way pretty quickly :'D I will probably replace the panel (weirdly the replacement part is named "Radiant Red trim part NZ6Z-6029038-A")

But... plot twist

My Maverick was parked outside on Monday and golf ball sized hail came though town and now have hail damage on the hood, roof, fender, door and quarter panel. so an insurance claim on a truck I have only owned for 3 days.

annnd....

The dealership has a one year "vip" (very important protection lol) coverage plan for accidents and paint coverage so they will be paying my deductible and going to fix it for me, from the other posts about hail damage it will likely mean I'm getting a new hood and maybe a roof panel, I'm not a fan of the head liner being dropped, but I'm guessing it will need to be done to fix the roof.

But hey, I finally do got a Maverick now :D

So this closes the story of this being my Maverick, the parts will live on somewhere, I would have liked to get the Focus RS seats out of it so maybe if i can figure out where it ends up i could buy them back for less than the insurance would have deducted from the payout.

on to the next adventure:
2025 Maverick Lobo high
The accessory ordering has begun!
I like Atlas blue more but I'm hoping the color grows on me.
