So the truck kills the 12v bed accessory harnesses if the truck has been shut off for 90 minutes.

My question - does the BCM shut off the positive or the negative wire.

Lmk if you know - might be super easy to turn the 12v bed harness into a constant 12v.

Why? It does it so you don’t completely drain the battery.

my bed light kit has an auto shutoff built into the kit.

I want the ability to walk up to my truck and turn the bed light on at any time I choose to - not just after I have recently started my truck.

do you know what it is I am saying.

btw the BCM kills the positive wire on timeout if anyone was curious.

That would be nice. I agree. Theres times I pop the tailgate and no power to turn the bed lighting on. It sucks to have to go open the door, flip the ignition key on just to get bed lights. I am planning on wiring in a mercury switch inside the tailgate to automatically turn them off and on anyways. That eliminates the problem of them being left on. I have a bed light on my 94 chevy and its direct wired with a fuse. Very convienent.
