Has anyone mounted Texas steer on their hoods? I seen a picture where there was one mounted it was really cool. Just wondering if anybody has done it and how I can do it they sell some plastic ones it would be lightweight maybe with some two-sided tape

You can get a Maverick re-pop emblem and mount it somewhere. I have a Ranchero emblem with the steer head that I'm going to mount on the dashboard.

First of all, you don’t use a “steer horn” in Texas, you have to get yourself a real set of genuine Longhorn horns. The bigger the better, at least a 3-4’ spread.

They’re heavy and create quite a bit of windage, so you will need to fabricate some heavy mounting brackets. The thin Maverick hood will not support them. Best to mount them from the bumper or on a sturdy bull bar. Or upgrade to a F250 Super Duty.

Anything less than a full Longhorn spread and people might think you’re just a poser from Massachusetts.
