I'm planning a bike trip, and the destination is 750 miles away. I usually use a hitch rack for local transport but have found it kills my milage on a 1 hour trip at 75mph. I have a Fox Half Pad that I used a handful of times on my previous truck but have never used it on the Maverick. Any best practice suggestions for 26 hour round trip? Half of it is on some pretty crappy New Mexico roads. The pads pretty new so its clean, figured Id wax up the tailgate real well.
On a side note, does anyone have feedback on gas milage using a One Up rack? Seems like it keeps the bike a little tighter against the truck than my Thule.
