Tailgate Lettering Cover Panel?

Open up the tailgate. hammer the letters flat on an anvil. Likely will need to repaint.

I know a lot of you add the black lettering to your tailgates to make it stand out more, but I'm on the other side - I want to cover them. With most cars, I usually get out the hairdryer and take off as many badges as I can, as long as there's no holes behind them. But those big ol' MAVERICK letters being embossed into the tailgate present a problem.

I'd like it to look like this (forgive my Microsoft Paint butchery):

....or even better, like this:

...because (to me) the cleaner, the better.

I know it would take a bodyshop to do the bottom one, but the top one seems do-able.

Has anybody seen a block-off panel like that (top picture)? I've searched the Google and came up empty. My searching skills are suspect, though....

Looks too plain to me. My letters are Ford blue and match the emblem on the back. I have yet to see this color on any other truck.

You forgot the mirror and taillights!

I would have said they need the French the bumpers too.

Probably look like that orange 65 Mustang that’s on a tv ad, where they removed the side coves, looks like a cheap foreign make.
