Saw that post. Assumed it was as speculative as what I was thinking might be a possible cause. Either way, still a gross design defect imo. A bracket that doesn't allow the exhaust pipe to be redirected upwards seems like it's in order. Of course, it will take a threat of recall for that to happen and in order to get to threat of recall, this has to happen to enough people and enough people have to file enough complaints.None of that is what causes it. See what I wrote above. I posted about how this happens after nothing on this thread since last year, then it got buried in junk replies.
