Sync 3 Audio Skipping Issue

I have this problem with the 24 Lariat I have and the Kenwood system that I installed in my 2008 Ranger. It is mildly annoying, but I grew up with 8 track tape systems and you ain't heard nothing like that.

Same problem from the get go, but via Android Auto. I thought it was my AA bluetooth adapter but now not sure about that. On rare occasions the audio gets completely corrupted and almost stops playing.

More annoying is that sometimes the bottom bar with the icons becomes unresponsive, but maybe that's specifically AA.

Any updates on this? Have the same issue with my 2023 Lariat Hybrid. It's not my phone.

Dealer visit number 9 was a total waste of my time. They "Checked the wiring" but ultimately called it a "software issue" and said I'd have to wait for Ford to put out a fix. The number of Lariat owners that have chimed in here is indicative of a much larger issue...

I called the Ford customer service hotline and they weren't helpful whatsoever. Took my VIN, looked up the ticket in the Techline (or whatever the system is) and basically said the same thing as my dealer - hurry up and wait.

@Ford Motor Company, please give give a useful update on this issue. I've DM'd my VIN as well as the dealers I've been working with.

Thanks for being the guinea pig CaptBanana. Glad I didn't start that working on this problem to just hit a brick wall. If nothing else, you've saved everyone else here a ton of time!

Dealer called me today saying something along the lines of "Ford is no longer warrantying this issue" due to the several visits in which the dealers failed to reproduce the issue despite having been able to reproduce it reliably the week of Halloween.

@Ford Motor Company can/will an SSM be put out for this issue with an ETA on a fix like you did with the dash rattles in SSM 52431? My survey found here is showing a majority are having the issue, which reflects the significant population of owners that aren't bothered enough by it to take it into the dealer and make the issue known to you. This is a widespread issue with Sync 3-equipped Mavericks and can't be ignored.

Same issue here. Bought the car Nov of this year and it’s done it since I got it. At least once per track usually within a minute of the song starting. It’s odd!
