Switch dealership for MY23 ?

Wondering how much of an issue it would be to change dealerships I have my my22 order with. I ordered back in Sept 21. I have called them for updates only a handful of times since then and they always say they'll get back and never do. I have called ford and my order has been placed correctly. Just wondering if I could order with another dealer, transfer the price protection, and "place in line".

The way I understand it to be is Your private offer would follow you to another dealership but your place in line would not.

As Aza stated, I also believe that to be true. Changing dealers could cost you months more. You really need to ask your dealer to see the order approval from Ford on their computer. They did it for me in April and removed a whole lot of doubt about my order being correctly processed by my dealer as I never even received any communication emails from Ford. It would make it much easier to make your decision. You can be a priority 10 and still have no real order. My dealer has never once updated me unless I contacted them first, I got my vin last Friday by calling Ford and then confirming that with my dealer. Other wise, I would be considering the same things you are.

I was prepared to move to a more responsive, high allocation dealership. When you get scheduled ultimately comes down to who has the allocations. New orders can and will be built before rollovers if the allocations are there. You can bet on it.
