Approximately 3 weeks ago I believe we received an auto update on our 2022 Lariat and a number of things changed. First noticed that the Trip 1 and Trip 2 disappeared from the center screen and the Android Auto screen had changed (the voice line on the bottom had disappeared and had a rainbow line when you spoke). Also noticed that the Stop/Start function and Intelligent Access (IA) ceased to function.

The Android Auto change was merely a screen update and the Trip 1 & 2 only required re-activation under the screen settings. The Intelligent Access was easy enough to fix thanks to YouTube and MTC. You need to open the setting for the center screen, go to Vehicle, Locks, Intelligent Access, and Deactivate then Activate the IA. The IA (open and lock the vehicle doors when you touch the door handle -Lariat) worked again.

The Stop/Start feature was a bit more challenging. The Stop/Start feature worked sporadically, at best, until the latest suspected auto update it ceased to work. I had the feature & battery on the Maverick checked numerous times during normal maintenance to no avail. The answer was in a 2018 YouTube video from 1stdrive.com, titled "Ford Fiesta auto Start Stop not working". I followed the video & It worked..... the Stop/Start (or Start/Stop) feature worked and has worked in warm temps, cold temps, short trips, or long with and without air or heat on since the reset. I know many wish there was a way to permanent disable the feature, BUT......

This person in the video just reset the BMS. Sometimes this works, other times it does not work.
