Hey y’all, simple question. I have a base XLT hybrid. If I bought a set of XL steelies to put winter tires on, would that fit my vehicle? Sorry if a novice question, but I, sadly, am a wheel novice.

edit: the goal would be to have my spring-summer-fall stock continentals on my stock XLT wheels, and then have a set of blizzaks on the steelies.

The Maverick steelies would fit your XLT. The hub bolt, set back etc. The rim diameter and width may change on some packages but would still fit. No problem at all between an XL and basic XLT.
By the way, that's my plan for next winter, including the Blizzaks.

Yes it would be plug-and-play. I'm planning on it as well. It will be a downgrade from my Subaru with a dedicated steel snow set but should still work in most snow conditions. This will be my 4th winter wheelset in the last 20 some years. I even had a 5 speed FWD Maxima with blizzacks. Never spun out or got stuck even in a big storm. I also wouldn't take it on unplowed roads where the subie could go.

Ha! That's my plan too. FWD and snows are just the ticket. If it ever gets so bad that I can't make it to work like that, still no problem. With all the money I've saved by no AWD I can afford to take the day/week off.

The Maverick owner's manual lists requirements for cable chains which would go on the front tires only. If you really need to be blizzard proof that's maybe another 100 bucks or so.

I already have them, part of the winter kit. So far, haven't needed them

Thanks, do you have a link for the Winter kit/chains? If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to check it.

Look for people like me who are selling them on face book. Take Offs from the xl they order.
