My Velocity blue XLT hybrid with a sunroof is being built the week of October 11. I still don't know the actual MPG, what are they waiting for. If the 2.0 ecoboost's highway MPG is as high as some say there may be some buyers remorse or a reorder.

Why worry about it? If it's 39 city/33 highway would you cancel? It will eventually get published.

He is worried that he is losing a lot of power for very little gain in fuel economy.
My guess is the 2.0 EB engine won't get over 30mpg highway, and I'll be very happy with it if it is that high.

I’m keeping my hybrid order no matter how good or bad the EB gas mileage gets.

It could be worse. You could have preordered and not even known the price/options like Santa Cruz buyers.
Good thing for them the Santa Cruz reservations basically just bought them a place in line🤣

You'll know by the time you have the option to take delivery

If the data is enough to sway your opinion on which motor you want, have a conversation with your dealer about ordering a new truck and letting them sell your original build

The trainer truck(2.0 Ecoboost) I saw in DFW showed 24.9 mpg average. It also showed 1/2 tank left and 186 miles to empty. The math would show based on a 16.5 gallon tank that it’s roughly averaging 22 mpg on that tank. The trainer told me he drove from downtown Dallas to the dealer located in North Richland Hills. That drive is 90% highway. That’s just my 2 cents based on a real world situation.

So you think a 2.0 EB Maverick built on the same platform as the escape 2.0 and Bronco sport 2.0 is averaging less mpg then those two models who’s real world mpg has already been posted by multiple sources?
That is highly improbable.

Did it have a tonneau cover?

Is it possible that if it didn't, would the drag from the tailgate make that much of a difference in MPG?

What line?...it didn't even buy any insider info.....It was a con-job so the bean counters have something to work off of... so they knew if there was any interest....The Dealers didn't even know you or what the $100 was for.... It's a mess I canceled mine.
At first I reserve a Maverick and then paid the $100 to Hyundai...So I could have a choice but after that crap-shoot Launch of the Cruz I walked away....
I checked on a Cruz that is local but they jacked the price $3000 So I'm all in on the Maverick now..

Official FE numbers get authorized and published when the vehicle is ready for sale. That would be right around 15-Sep.

Like I said, just my two cents. I haven’t researched the mpg on those models. Just saying what I saw.
