I have a Maverick which came with the tri fold soft cover. It is virtually impossible for me or my wife to open or lock cover. We do not have the strength to pull down on the handles. I want to replace it with Fords soft roll up cover. Can someone tell me if it is easy to open and lock. Does it have one place to open and lock, or two? Any pictures or video would be great. As far as the hybrid 1st edition Area 51 is concerned, I think it is awesome. We love it. Thanks for any help.

Check that a soft rolling replacement will lock... not sure there is one on the market that does. I too had trouble releasing and reattaching the soft fold lock brackets (woman in mid 50s), but I practiced a bit, repositioning myself and using both hands. You may want to splurge on hard rolling that locks, if you can't operate the folding covers that lock.

Ford Maverick Soft roll up cover C1283341-B32B-4DCD-894A-05ACDA1F3E58

Truxedo Pro X15 cover is very nice, easy to close easy to open. Uses a single open lever located on the left side that can be operated with a lite finger pull.

Good hunting.

Go take a look at RealTruck.com. They have videos of all their tonneau covers showing you how to use and install them. Check out their sponsor page here on the forum, too. They give a discount if you mention the maverick truck club forum.

How do you like this cover? About to pull trigger. Fit nice? Flap in wind minimal? Wrinkle? Fairly dry? Thanks

Rolling hard covers are the way to go. I had one that I had installed on my 2008 F-150 and then moved to my 2014 and still going strong when I sold my truck. You can close it partially if you have half a load. My husband has just a soft roll up cover and the release latch does kinda snap and then to close and secure it, it does take more than minimal effort. (woman in my 50's here) I doubt I will like the trifold coming on my FE but I'll give it a shot and can always have the hard roll up cover replace it.

Question concerning the rack and t-slot rails in photo. Sure looks like the Truxedo Elevate T-Slot Rails, correct? Main question: What brand of bed/ladder rack is that? I have the t-slot rails but hoping for good options other than the current Elevate Rack. Like the looks of that rack. Thanks.
