I had to go buy a new Torque Wrench to get the lug nuts to 148 lb.ft. (see below)

I was surprised at that number too, but my torque wrench goes to 150 ft lbs. The Dunlops are "studless" similar to Blizzaks....I am ok with the cheap-o ebay covers @surfstar but we'll see....when I picked up the steelies....the guy had sold the center caps and lugnuts and as such made me a great deal on the rims ($40 bucks for all four)...I'll find another set with the matching lugnuts to hold them on, but until then...these'll do....I wasn't too worried as I think (yes, personal opinion) that the covers look better than the base caps anyhoo....

17" rims would have been a better choice

My 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD with Black Appearance Package came with 225/55R19 tires on 19" black rims.

OEM was 19". Why would I change to 17"?

My 2025 Lariat came with 19".....factory 17" size is same diameter so I went with the 17's for winter....a choice.

17"" wheels with same diameter tire provide more rubber from the wheel to the pavement & are narrower which is better for winter.
Old trick that's been around for a long time.
When you hit a winter/spring pot hole it's a more forgiving setup. Just sayin
