Hi Canadian here and I have had ice and snow already and the AWD is great in it.
Stock tires suck. But with good shoes and slippery/wet mode truck is confident enough for me.

I have had a few storms in Maine and the truck has worked great no problems I even drove it out of snow that was halfway up my doors ( I live on main st in my town) that the snowplow has pushed up. Clicked it into mud ruts.mode and drove right out. No spinning, no rocking back and forth just click and go. For reference I have the Faulken wild peak AT3W tire that came from the factory on my truck and I have a XLT FX4 WITH 4K TOW. From what I hear if your unlucky enough to get the Pereilli tires then make the dealer swap them or go get new ones cause they are not good tires for winter.... or rain

I've been driving an AWD 4k Tow for a week now in ice and snow (Minnesota). I've been super happy with it, stock tires, no issues so far.

I’ve got the FX-4 with the optional Wildpeak AT3 which is a snow-rated all terrain tire here in New Brunswick Canada. It’s been great so far. I’m coming from a Jeep Rubicon manual with 33” KO2 tires which was a beast in the snow.

Took me a couple drives to get used to the FWD bias, and the fact that the rear kicks in when fronts lose traction, and then I was good. I used the slippery mode which reduced some of the power and it feels like it doesn’t as quickly push power to the rear. After that I had no issues despite tons of freezing rain and snow covered roads.
