I have a 23’ Hybrid and get the same when the ICE is working hard for a long period of time, like up a long uphill grade. Seems to be coming from the vents and goes away after a bit. All engine perimeters normal and no warning lights…but it does stink pretty bad.

For sure. I only have 2400 miles in mine, so can’t comment on when/if it will stop. Interesting that we’re both getting it hybrid & Eco. I’m trying to decide if it’s maybe a burnt coolant smell or not, but definitely kind of does smell like a match…keep us posted if you find anything out.

Well. That's a much less painful way to tell when your engine is warm than grabbing an exhaust pipe.
Unless your engine compartment is prone to burst into flame...

'23 Lariat Luxury hybrid with 5200 on it. This afternoon, e driving about a half hour on the hiway, so it was warmed up, I FLOORED IT from about 10 mph. That hybrid engine is LOUD. The battery gauge went to almost 100% power, and off we went. Only ran it up to about 85 mph.
Two things I noticed. Mpg went from 43 to 38 in a heartbeat, and that thing STINKS. The smell went away in less than a minute.
25 miles to home. No harm, no foul. (I hope.) :D

It’s happening on hybrid and gas models.
Both use a cat maybe it’s the internals of the cat burning. Usually smells like rotten eggs but this is a different smell. I did notice a smell a few times while driving spiritedly the other day, Now that u guys mention it I didn’t really think about it.

Hope you don't have an oil dilution issue. This is where gas gets into the engine and literally "waters down" the oil with gas. I'm no mechanic but you might want to run a Google search on this issue.

Not saying my sense of smell is great, but I haven't had this happen. I can generally smell burning at least though.

I literally changed the oil, when out on a drive and got the smell on the fresh oil after the engine worked hard up a long hill. It’s definitely not that…

Open your doors on both sides and see if the insulation pads on the inside of the fenders are missing or out of adjustment. If you can see into the enter fender wells to engine compartment that could be the issue

That would lessen the smell coming into the cabin, I'm missing the insulation as well but what's causing the smell......

Having this same issue. Starting to think that Ford should investigate this as it is seemingly becoming common on EBs as well.
