Siri Shortcuts for Start / Stop / Unlock / Lock & More Commands Work!

I just followed the directions and everything works with one exception. The "What's my car Odometer" is reporting my miles in kilometers. The value is set to metric....what should I change this to so it reports in miles?

You can replace (overwrite) the Odometer script from the one linked in my last post (#13) that will have you select Kilometers or Miles.

That worked! The only thing I noticed which isn't a big deal to me, it doesn't announce the mile....It just displays the miles. With Kilometers it announce the mileage.

Very cool thanks! All verbal commands work for me, but if I wanted to change “car” to “truck” would I just change the title of the shortcut and Siri would take that as the new verbal command?

Yes! I changed car to Mav and it worked.

Yesterday, I saw a reddit thread that the Siri shortcuts were working again on iPhones and Apple watches.

Functions include:
Start my Car
Turn off my Car
Lock my Car
Unlock my Car
Whats my Car Odometer?
Whats my Cars Oil Life?
Wheres my Car?

I purged the old versions I had used and installed the new shortcuts following the reddit thread. I entered my FordPass email address, FordPass password, and VIN number in during the installation of the first shortcut. After installing all the shortcuts, I manually activated the Start my Car shortcut (pushed the tile) and granted permission to run and voila... Maverick started. Followed up with Turn off my Car which also worked.

Will test verbally later today.

Install all of these, Make sure you install the first 4 in order. also the first shortcut is critical as you have to insert your login details and VIN number correctly for it to work.

Although the installation of the shortcuts appeared to go smoothly, only "Where's My Car" is functioning via the Siri voice commands. All of the functions do still function properly going through the Ford Pass app by manually pressing the icons.

Thanks, they all seem to be working except "What's my car oil life." Not a big deal.

I get "Sorry, I can't provide information about the maintenance in your car," even though I've given all permissions.

Edit: never mind, I had to run that one shortcut separately via the shortcut app to give permission.

I noticed that. None of them work by voice until they have been run once by the shortcut app.

I installed these shortly after getting my 22, and complained to Ford development via the App Store last time it was broken. They should just allow an API for easy shortcuts, but either way it works great when it works. Happy there are people smarter than me that figure out a fix whenever Ford messes it up.

I stopped using Siri or my Watch and now prefer the action button on the newer iPhones, you can set up a multi-choice menu with options - so I have lock, unlock, remote start + unlock.

Super convenient too if you can't remember if you locked it.

My Ford pass stopped working months ago and it’s all because of an update that won’t update. lol nice Ford.
This was something I was trying to figure out. Now that someone has… I can’t do it. lol just my luck.

When my dealer reset mine, I couldn't get reconnected until I deleted my car in the app and readded it. I'm assuming you tried that as well.

Sure did. Ford pass CS told me it’s because I’m not on the current update. But my Mav tells me, I am on the current update even though it’s not.
Then I tried to do the update on my own, of course, it did not work.

It's almost like you jailbroke your car and you need a factory reset.
