Sign of dead battery coming?

The basic xl and xlt must have some kind of proximity sensors in the fob. Not to open the truck but to get things energized.. Like I said it only starts clicking and making sound when close to it with the keys in my pocket.

Hybrids do that. My Maverick Hybrid (XLT) is clicking and stuff, whether I have the key on me or not, what you are hearing likely just a coincidence. You won't hear it from more than a few feet away.
