Side Fender Marker Light

Hello all, hope this is the correct Thread for my topic. There are a lot of people on here talking about a turn signal/ light of some kind on the fender vent if you will. I took it upon myself to do just that. I personally thought the Mabett one was to big and had to many issues i.e. condisation. So I removed both sides and drilled a small hole and then inserted a Amber light. It flashes when you lock/unlock the doors and it is also a turn signal for better visibility. Don't have a picture of it lite up but this is what it looks like, I also painted the inside around it to match my truck. It was an easy FYI project. Anyway that's my idea. Thank you

Wow, that looks great! I saw those little Led's on amazon. I'm still waiting on my 2025 xlt. Let me ask you, do you just splice into the turn signal wiring? If the plug has more than two wires, which ones do you splice into?

I just grounded one and applied the other one. I can try and send some better pictures tonight of them flashing. I like them because cats can't see which way you are turning

If I were you I would pick up the lens that sticks on with 3M tape for the completed look. They come in Amber, clear or smoked.

Go to Etsy.com and search for GadCad. I believe he does them on a 3D printer and they're really nice.

Just waiting for my adapter harness to arrive to install these. Just need to put the LEDs and covers on.


I'm using 3M tape and 4-1/2" screws to hold on the covers securely.

For the wiring from the harness adapter to the LEDs you can use any 2 conductor 18 gauge or lower wiring with a jacket, I also covered the wiring with cloth tape.
