We ordered our Maverick in Aug 2021. Got absolutely no follow-up information from dealer or from Ford - until April 12 (8 months later), when Ford emailed that our truck had been built; then the next day another email said it had been shipped! The tracking doesn't show any progress. We followed up with the dealer shortly thereafter, and manager pulled it up and said it had shipped, but was still in Mexico. (When asked, he also told us they have moved around 10 Mavericks from their dealership....which we had a little trouble believing, since when we put in the order, they didn't even seem to be aware of the Maverick!) I have since messaged the dealer asking for train car information so I can track further, but have gotten no response. So, while we are hopeful that we will get the truck, we are a little nervous about what the process at the dealer will look like.

Shipping takes about 4 to 5 weeks, give or take. Subject to arrival variance due to the the vagaries of rail yard congestion, trucking delivery availability, weather, etc.

My shipped email was received on April 24 (start of this week, Sunday). I checked on Wednesday via the online Ford chat and it is still on ramp 54 - apparently its first traffic jam.

Just because some are able to obtain the rail information, doesn't mean every dealer is going to go to that level. They may consider it internal information not to be shared while others could care less and easily provide it. I also wouldn't consider this any sort of sign as to how the rest of your process would go with the dealer.

Granger wouldn't provide it to me, however mine arrived early and I had a great buying experience with them. The Ford emails were also sporadic for me - I only received my initial order, built and delivered to dealer emails (no notice of a VIN/build date was received).

You likely won't hear anything at all until it hits the dealer lot. My dealer says the internal tracking doesn't always show them what's going on. They sometimes don't know until it shows up on a truck at the dealer lot. 4-5 weeks is average though. Mine showed up yesterday unannounced at the dealer. Will pick it up today.

When I went in to get mine they already had a line of people waiting to buy it if I dropped out. :) Mine arrived one day after my delivery window. No work from Ford is probably a good thing. it means there are no delays.
