Yes. That is what they said at the shop too. Im quite relieved that they are taking this approach. This is good. I'd rather they replace the entire thing than screw around replacing parts and hoping it's all good.
I hope that takes care of it and the mechanics at the shop seemed to agree with you that the transmission could be at fault/related to both issues.Glad they are replacing the whole transmission; all your videos appear to point to that being the problem origin- it’s almost like the clutches are jacked up and either killing the engine at a stop due to not downshifting and then not releasing upon starting to drive again (hence the high rpm’s)
I had a 1,200 mile trip to bring mine home and everything went fine, in fact it was great! Don’t worry so much, most of these trucks aren’t having these issues. Odds are you’ll get home safe and happyGetting kinda spooked. If mine ever gets built I will have a 800 mile road trip to get it home. I need to stay off this forum I think.
I think youll be fine. If these issues were common, I assume this forum, reddit, [banned site], and the FB group would be flooded with people talking about it. From what I can tell, im the only person online that has reported these issues with a Maverick.Getting kinda spooked. If mine ever gets built I will have a 800 mile road trip to get it home.
