Setting the record for the longest shipping time

I am beginning to think my Maverick doesn't like me. First when I ordered it in early July I never got a response to the order that was sent to my local dealer. I waited about 2 weeks and went to the dealer to see why. The email address that Ford has for the dealer is incorrect and they never received the order. ( still never fixed ) So my order was delayed 2 weeks to start things off. Then I got word that my truck was built back on October 19. The email from Ford is 14 to 28 days, it will arrive. First email had it arriving Nov21, then delayed to Nov 30, then delayed to Dec 20. That is the last date from the emails but when tracking the order, it now has Jan 10. If the Jan 10 date holds up that is getting close to 3 months. But the Oct 19 build date also tells me I will need the seat belt recall before delivery. I took off the spray in bed liner so at least my gas tank is OK. Has anyone else gone over 2 months for shipping? Am I the shipping champion?

Shipped October 6th, arrived December 23rd. Still sitting at dealer waiting on fuel tank recall.

I wonder if the problem starts by Ford shipping them out on Union Pacific, who doesn't have service east of about Chicago to New Orleans, so they have to switch somehow to get on another RR line. It would be like changing planes in Atlanta only having to switch to a different concourse and a different airline too. Not as easy as just changing planes in the same concourse with the same airline.

Mine shipped October 6th and finally arrived January 3rd but still have to wait for them to check gas tank.

Have you had the dealer look into tracking or give you rail info for it. The tracker will keep giving new dates until its delivered but could be another reason for why it hasn't come. I remember seeing someone had a vehicle destroyed in transit that they only found out after dealer poked about the status. Could also be on a recall hold like you mentioned you may be in the seatbelt recall.
