I lived near some Oldsmobile line workers a while back. They all said never buy a car built on a Monday.
Isn’t Monday the “Friday” for the “C Crew” shift at ford? Ah, the days when laborers worked m-f 8-5. Working through the weekend overnights worried me the most.

Well, imo it's better to do what ya gotta do to give yourself peace of mind and satisfaction. Life's too short to be unsatisfied, mad, bitter, etc. it just eats at your soul. Hope you have happiness with whatever you decide to replace it with.

Sounds like you're in 80's. I would not put up with it either. My Mom is 82 and drives a 2016 Lexus NX built in Japan since new. It's a beast of a car.

For us youngers, especially 40's and under, the juice is worth the squeeze. I'm getting a very good ROI here over the long haul. I've got full warrenty until 125,000 miles. I do expect more failures than the avg. car but so far, so good. Can't even remember a recall causing any inconvenience.

Your full warranty of 125,000 miles. How many years?

Seems to be a common problem with hybrids now for some reason. I owned another older hybrid before and never had any problems during 6 years of ownership and I wasn't even the first owner. 16 years old with the original Panasonic AGM battery, it was crazy. The newer hybrids just seem to have way too many 12v battery problems, regardless of brand. Toyota, Lexus, Ford, all seem to have it, guess they are all just cheaping out and not developing good software or hardware for the vehicles anymore.
I've been driving 64 years, 1st car a 56' Ford, many cars since then, mostly Fords. Some good, some not. My 1st Hybrid was a 2008 Fird Escape, drove 9 years, 95k miles, still had original 12v battery, original tires barely worn, two minor recalls. Likely the best, most reliable of all my rides. My 25MY AWD Mav with 12k miles has been very good so far, but ?? It's so true about 12V battery power on modern computer dependent cars. Anything effecting 12v voltage plays havoc with electronics.
