WTF Ford?? Does everyone else hate Ford Pass as much as I do?? Why can I not start my Maverick with Remote start on the key fob?? Why must I be forced to use this stupid app? It was kind of nice having scheduled starts for work Monday-Friday during the cold months here in Michigan. Got out to my truck this morning and it was cold AF. What is the point of automatically deactivation on scheduled start? I could see if I was super low on fuel, but other than that it should stay activated until I turn it off!!!

Doesn't it tell you right there how to correct it?

It tell me how to reactivate it, not how to stop it from deactivating again without my knowledge.

No, it says why it deactivated right there - you haven't driven since the last scheduled start ran. You can only remote start your vehicle once without getting in (safety feature to prevent CO buildup in case it's parked in an enclosed area).

Yesterday was Monday, even though it didn't feel like it with the holiday. So did your scheduled start run yesterday but you didn't get in or drive the truck? If so, that would've made today the second remote start without getting in the truck.

Yes I can read. I park outside, I should be able to turn that stupid crap off but it doesn't let you. You wouldn't need to use scheduled start if you parked inside anyway... Stupid feature.

Overreact much? Mine did the same thing over the holiday break. I forgot I had it scheduled, it executed, but I never drove the truck so the app stopped the scheduled starts from happening. Thank you technology for helping a brother out. I'd rather not have my truck start and idle for 15 minutes twice a day if I'm not actually going anywhere.

Didn't know there was a remote start on a fob? Was this for the 22 maverick s? I have a 23.

You had to pay for that option for MY23 and it was only available as an addition to the XLT or Lariat Lux packages. MY22 and MY24 have it included as standard in both lux packages.

It's on every remote start system for at least a decade now. There might be an aftermarket solution - I've seen that on several other vehicles where you can override that limit and/or set a longer remote start time (not sure if the Maverick is 10 or 15 min).

It's a 15 minute start. My issue is that Ford Pass deactivated my scheduled start because I didn't use my truck on a holiday. Living in MI the cold weather tends to kill batteries if the truck isn't being used on a daily basis. On weekends sometimes I will use my girlfriends Edge so we can put miles on her lease instead of my truck that I own. Having my truck scheduled start even on days I don't drive it shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure why Ford thinks after one day of not driving it that they need to deactivate my scheduled starts. There should be at minimum a way to stop them from deactivating it. I would love to have remote start on the key fob, I know I could go aftermarket, but then you have a second fob just for the remote start.
I have read that it is possible to program a new key fob that has the remote start on it, but you need to install a transceiver module. I'm not sure if it would be plug and play if I got one from another Maverick or if there would be additional programing. Cost on one from a 22 Maverick is about $150, then the cost of a new 4 button switch blade fob probably around $40.

Just get a Start-X and use the fob you already have. Plug & play connection to the back of the OBD2 port.

On your existing fob, pressing LOCK> UNLOCK> LOCK starts the truck.
