Rustoleum Pro Bedliner - Request for Opinions on next steps.

I received the Rustoleum Pro 2 part Epoxy bed liner from Amazon.
The box was not damaged but when I opened it, it was clear that one part of the two part Epoxy had leaked into the larger plastic bag that it was packaged in. 90% sure it was part A, the smaller part.
Ideally you mix part A and Part B within the foil bags and then dump the mix into a paint tray. But my part A has already leaked out of the foil bag and into the plastic packaging that was just supposed to be protective.

I have received a refund from Amazon so that is fixed.
Do I risk mixing parts A & B in the "not designed for this purpose" plastic bag and put it on my truck, or do I start all over? Everytime, I have received messages from Amazon or Walmart that they are having supply chain problems So Screw it, I got something is an option.

My current mind-set is that this half-ass solution is probably fine, will not make the situation worse, and if I want to, I can order again and just overcoat and pay for it.Broken Bag

The only answer is return and get a new one. Order a new one first and return the first while the second is in transit. Otherwise they "could" just send the same damaged one back to you.

Your point is well taken. I clarified on the recorded phone call that they had no interest in receiving the damaged goods through a return. I feel bad for the call taker that we had to exchange emails where i sent her a picture. It was epoxy hardening but any normal person would see a ziploc freezer storage bag that contains aluminum foil and piss. Because that it what it looked like.

My final dilemma is that I could go with a "superior" product in bad installation conditions but it is FREE. Or pay for the right stuff and they keep changing the price. I am leaning to the first one.

I’ve used a TON of two part epoxy and paint in my life, a lot.
From what you described, can you try to get the gooey part A out of the bag? I’m not sure how much you lost.

I don’t know the ratio of this stuff. 2:1 or 3:1? Something like that.
Usually there is some forgiveness with the ratios so being off a little is OK but you really need to try and recover what you can from the bag.

Mixing is the most important part of two part stuff. Scrape the sides, bottom and every part of the mixing container and mix slowly so as not to whip it. Mix it for a few minutes. Temperature also plays a role in the working time. Rustoleum products are usually formulated to give a lot of working time since it’s a consumer-based product and made for the DIY crowd.

I gave up on Rust-oleum epoxy. Went with basic Herculiner despite noticing that Herculiner epoxy became available. I watched the Project Farmer comparisons and its just not worth the hassle and increased costs.

Very satisfied.
