I just emailed back and fourth with my dealer about the ROVP confirmation. I sent him Tim's video and a screen shot of the process. Do you think that was too much? I'm not trying to tell them how to do their job I would just like confirmation of the order that is not the Ford confirmation from when I originally ordered the truck. The sales manager got back to me saying he will email me the COVP approval after it's approved.

When did you order and did you get a confirmation from Ford? I can only tell you my experience it was 10 days after my order date when I got ROVP approval

My original order was 1/22. I received the confirmation email from Ford on 1/22. The dealer had to add the XLT Luxury package on 1/25. I did not receive another confirmation. The dealer said he made the change and the original confirmation is still good. He said it takes up to 72 hours to receive the COVP.

ask your dealer for THIS:

I ordered my truck on Tuesday and confirmed with the dealer today that the order was submitted to the COVP - Customer Order Verification Program. I also called Ford directly, and they confirmed that my order was in the system and verification was "pending." I am sure Ford has received MANY new orders this week with today's cutoff deadline. So, it would not surprise me if it takes a week or more to get final approval.

Bottom line, based on the post above, COVP and ROVP appear to be ONE AND THE SAME, and as long as your dealer has submitted the order to Ford AND submitted the required papers for order verification (signed order sheet and copy of driver's license) you should be good to go.

At least that's what I'm counting on!

I’ll be calling that number. Ordered on 9/17 and still no email. Dealer says order was placed but no further info than that. Should I assume I’m SOL?
