Just to add... mine had done it since I took delivery in December 2023. It's a 2024 Hybrid xl. In the cold, at idle with heat. I never felt it with the ac. I do get concerned on the longevity of this vehicle with its quirks.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.  Just to add... mine had done it since I took delivery in December 2023. It's a 2024 Hybrid xl. In the cold, at idle with heat. Did you resolve the surging issue or have any updates concerning the issue? I experienced the same situation on my MY24 hybrid when it was very cold. Surging and RPM fluctuations in neutral only.Ah, so I just replicated it! I started up the truck, kept it in park, pressed down the gas pedal to turn on the ICE.. no problems so far.. but then I switch to neutral and there it is.. surging, rev hunting.. no lurch though. Over to reverse and no problem. Over to drive (with the brake held down) no problem. Over to park, no problem. Back to neutral, And it's gone! The ambient temp was 69 degrees.
And, I had my eye on the instantaneous mpg, it never changed, it stayed at zero mpg..
I've got a 2024 XLT Hybrid. We're coming off a cold spell here in Maryland, and my truck has been doing this - the first time it did it I thought my 7,000 mile old truck was just about to eat a motor.Hi there!
