Very rough idle on Hybrid XLT

Last week I made a post about my Hybrid with rough and loud idle. The engine would shake terribly and a check engine light for a misfire. Well I got it back today and wanted to post the fix (hopefully) for anyone with a similar issue.

I have a Maverick Hybrid with the same cold start unloaded idle knock as that heard in the video posted earlier in this thread. It happens after the hybrid battery reaches a full state of charge, which removes any load off the engine. The noise instantly goes away if the truck is switched into gear. It seems to be a resonance condition at the engine to transmission interface. This is a different error state than the cold start surge discussed elsewhere. Does anyone know if there is a fix yet for this idle resonance knock condition?

No fix now and not sure when or if there will be. The hybrid escape had the same issue and I don’t know if they fixed it. My dealer is working with ford engineering to try to find a fix. My fear is my transmission or engine is being damaged in the meantime.
