Has anyone tried out the Rough Country 3 panel folding aluminum clad tonneau yet? I’ve been looking at different tonneaus as I only put my SofTopper on for fall thru winter until early spring. I just took it off and have been trying to find a tonneau with a hard top. I’ve looked at retractable covers but don’t like the big box they have and the multiple drain lines that need to be ran. Came across the Rough Country version on Amazon last night and it had less than 50 reviews. I was wondering if anyone here had tried it yet?

Its fine, It still has the two drains up front for the rails but there is already holes for them in the bed. I took the badge off too.

Well I saw the Leer multiple people had that was on sale on Amazon but it appears it was a clearance sale as it’s no longer on there

With these hard bed covers I always google the name + hail damage + forum or Reddit. Many of them are very thin metal.

Installed after new year, 2024. Added some weatherstripping at front of bed, under rear window. <30 minute install without help. And to adjust rear clamps a couple of times for proper seal and closure with tailgate up.
Have received many compliments on the sleek, low profile look, thinking of removing badge as it is fading. Cover does not leak after washing, very minimal after two day rain. Would definitely recommend, will try to attach photos.

The one I’m looking at includes the foam for the bulkhead so that’s good to know it doesn’t leak. My SofTopper has yet to leak anywhere and have had it nearly since it was released.

How hard is it to get the Rough Country "RC" badge off? Is it just 3M and use some nylon thread/dental floss to work it off, or is it like a decal? I like the low profile RC tonneau, but I don't like the Red RC badge. Thanks.

It is just the 3m foam tape, so classic methods work.

I’ve had the Rough Country hard tri-fold tonneau cover on my Maverick since last Christmas (caught it on sale 😊), and I’ve been really happy with it so far. My old soft cover leaked like crazy and would flap around at highway speeds—not ideal. This one feels a lot more solid, looks sleeker on the truck, and offers much better security.

It still lets in a little water at the tailgate if I hit the car wash, but I think that’s more of a design quirk with the Maverick’s bed than an issue with the cover itself.

Here’s the one I’m using:

I bought my 2023 from CarMax. It came with this cover. I bought the truck as a daily driver. Taken it on a couple trips. Really was happy having this cover. With the locking tailgate, you get a fairly secure place to keep stuff.
