No maybe…it HAS happened. Search for some threads talking about the massive expanse in the drive red rear wheel well. How there is no protection and water/debris/everything gets thrown into the tail lamp and how water seeps underneath it which can let it sit and rust, etc
Picked up my Hybrid Monday, no mud flaps yet...drove through 20+- miles of muddy sludge and snow and stopped for a break and see some of the sludge was dripping out of the bottom of the tail lights....disappointing..

The Maverick body shape and wheels defiantly need mud flaps. Side of car is covered with mud in minutes. Called my local Ford Dealer this AM to see if they have Ford's Mud Flaps in stock...person on phone did not know...>>>???

Go by Ford Dealer in person and they asked for my VIN number....was told that there was a newer version of mud flaps and had to check my VIN number to see which one fit my Maverick....was told it appears a new version is now out but they would not have for possibly a month....was given the impression there were too many issues with current mud flaps, may be forced to go after market but not RK, I don't do free advertising of companies unless I choose to......including black letters.

Mud flaps aren't going to help you with the tail light sludge. Driving creates a vacuum behind your vehicle which means that road grime, dirt and water that is kicked up by yours and surrounding vehicles are all basically "sucked" into that area and onto your truck, specifically the back of your truck. As it drips down it goes into the crevice between the top of your tail lights and the body and makes its way down and accumulates on the bottom, puddling up and "oozing" out. Spend a gazillion dollars on mudflaps made from unicorn hoofs by magic elves and you're still going to get that.

Y’all kill me with this “free advertising” bs. Your truck has ford plastered all over it…your phone has the brand all over it, your clothes, etc. get over it

Believe me, took a screw driver to loosen the left tail light cover and sludge and water was dripping out of the tail light cover lense. Took off the left side false cubby cover inside the bed and you can see where the water and sludge is coming from the rear left wheel well and hits behind the left tail light....if your theory was right it would do the same to both tail lights, only did it to the left side. Right side has the cubby box installed and wheel well shield. Left drivers side does not!

Edit: Had the Rokblokz mud flaps and water was still getting into the back of the tail light. Replaced the REAR mud flaps with the FORD longer mud flaps and problem solved and mud splashing against the side of the fender was also solve when switching to the Ford brand...kicking myself since Ford mudflaps were cheaper than the Rokblokz to start with, have since replaced the front mud flaps with the longer Ford Front mud flaps also and slide of Maverick stays much cleaner from road grime..

That's not the only cause on the driver side the inner fender doesn't really cover the rear of the wheel well they have it cut away I'm guessing to avoid the exhaust. It immediately gets wheel spray into that area. The passenger side doesn't really have the issue since it's covered behind the tire.

You are correct! Right passenger side was not an issue. It's easy to see if you pull out the cubby box...on the passenger side....you can see what's underneath, not the same on the left side (false) cubby hole. And someone else also suggested there is no shield on left side to avoid plastic from being close to the hot exhaust system. Others with same problem...

While there are a number of Rokblokz threads, decide to ask in this one as those installing have ordered them. Like to see where people order from, discount codes used and if any shipping charges. Thank you to those that post the info. (-:

I ordered them from their website and didn't find any working promo code when I ordered. I selected the free shipping they actually shipped them FedEx 2 day though.

Most likely have to wait for a holiday or some special occasion for there to discount codes. A lot of us bought ours Black Friday or after Xmas

These aftermarket splash guards look less sturdy than the Ford OEM ones.

Also the price being higher compared to the Ford OEM ones doesn't help.

Rokblokz has mud flaps for the Maverick: $149.99

Compared to Ford's:

Item #Description
Qty
NZ6Z-16A550-AAKit - Mudflap
1
NZ6Z-16A550-BANZ6Z-16A550-BA
1

Total shipped from Fairwayfordparts.net was $94.42

I used 18884 FordPass points so my actual cost was zero.

I also like the Ford emblem on the rear splash guards.
I originally had these on my build but when I saw how the guards cover the paint, I called my dealer and had them remove them from my build. I think dirt and sand will collect between the guard and paint and start to rust.

Installed mine today, for anyone not wanting a logo, just flip flop em side to side, they’re the same.

I installed em with logo visible, but if you’re so concerned, could flop the logo
to the tire side.

Which color did you get? I'd like to order the same, it looks like a perfect match for the dark plastic body-cladding.
Also, have they held up well?

Thanks.
