Drove my Maverick from home (near Detroit MI) to Talladega and back, 1600 mile roundtrip last weekend. We stopped in Nashville on the way out and drove back in 1 day. The maverick is an outstanding highway cruiser, quiet, comfortable seating and ride, just pleasant to drive with the adaptive cruise and lane centering. Fuelly calculated gas mileage was 39.3 MPG for the trip, mostly 70mph. The hybrid system seemed to get better mileage with the hills in Kentucky and Tennessee than flat highways. With the bed divider and Truxedo pro X15 tonneau cover, we used the bed as a trunk and our stuff stayed dry even driving through heavy rain. Only issue through the first 6,000 miles is a few paint chips.

That is some nice mileage. I get closer to EPA rating on the highways around here. Especially after I lifted it and put on larger tires.

We are heading out on a road trip from Oregon to Pontiac Illinois, starting Saturday the 27th. We are doing some of Route 66. Have already did one to the Maverick meet-up with 6500 miles last year not one problem. Will track mileage better this time.
